This article was published in the Nov-Dec 2012 issue of Catholic Answers Magazine.

Horus Manure: Debunking the Jesus/Horus Connection

Written by Jon Sorensen, a Catholic Apologist, who criticizes Religulous, Zeitgeist, Christ in Egypt: The Jesus-Horus Connection and Pagan Origins of the Christ Myth.

Perhaps he should've actually read the book and studied the subject first? He couldn't even spell Murdock correctly so, am I suppose to believe he ever saw the book let alone read it? Jon Sorensen relies on heavily edited and generalized encyclopedias often written by Christians to make his case.

I hope somebody will send him these articles for starters:

Horus and the 12:

There's a 20 page chapter on that subject in Christ in Egypt starting at the bottom of page 269. Here's an image from Egyptologist Eric Hornung's book on the 12 at Acharya's description page for CIE for all to see. There are many more images of "the twelve" in the book.

Sounds like "horse manure" is a great title for his debunking of my book. In any event, rest assured that he's proved nothing except for his own conditioning.

The fact remains that the "Jesus Christ" of the New Testament is a fictional composite of characters, including various Egyptian gods and goddesses.

No amount of fit throwing and nitpicking from the male-dominant cultists will suffice to change that fact.

Why suffer from Egyptoparallelophobia, when you can read Christ in Egypt? Try it - you'll like it:
