One more fascinating reason why the Egyptians utilized this animal so heavily in their culture and myth. Hell, perhaps the Egyptians or their ancestors even began star-gazing themselves from observing other animals, like the scarab, doing so. Apparently, astronomy, and by extension astrotheology, is an evolutionary trait, possibly even bred into our very DNA. Very interesting-

I think so. It makes sense. Sort of brings another layer of depth to the astrotheology of the ancients and the Egyptians perhaps observing the dung beetle's orienting themselves toward the milky way, leading to how the dung beetle and solar orb correspond to the milky way myths and so on.

Fascinating study. Thanks for posting.

Christ in Egypt discusses the scarab and/or beetle and includes images of the scarab beetle, but sadly this study was obviously not available at the time in 09.

No sir, it is not too late for the 2nd edition to Christ Conspiracy at all. We'll see if she wants to include it or not though as this is very interesting news but not sure if it adds to her case in CC yet or not. That book is slow coming because she is writing several side projects first to keep the size of the book down. That way she can cite these other smaller books in Christ Conspiracy 2nd coming without having to spill too much ink on certain side-topics like:

The Moses-Dionysus Connection

Jesus as the Sun throughout History

Christos or Chrestos?

I know she has one for Josephus and another for Tacitus, Suetonius & Pliny. I'll make a note of this Scarab Beetle/Milky Way issue for CC 2nd.

"Christ Conspiracy 2nd coming" - from above just kinda rolled out like that naturally. It would be kinda of funny if she titled it something like 'Christ Conspiracy 2nd coming' or resurrected or something like that. It sure would get quite a few knickers in a twist.
